Founded in 2019, Dhaga is a dynamic socio-cultural youth group based in Silchar, Assam, dedicated to providing young people with opportunities for meaningful engagement and societal progress. Driven by empathy and volunteerism, Dhaga actively works in education, health, disaster relief, and cultural enhancement. We organize free medical camps for impoverished communities, deliver aid during floods and catastrophes, and run health and hygiene efforts, including menstrual awareness campaigns to empower women.
Dhaga regularly delivers meals to those in need and provides career counseling to help youth achieve their professional goals. Our flagship events, INVIERNO, a three-day interschool fest, and RAAS DANDIYA, a community Navaratri celebration, are significant fundraisers that foster community spirit and cultural exchange. With the support of partners and funders, Dhaga continues to transform society, improving lives and ensuring a prosperous future for all through our diverse programs.
