Founded in 2019, Dhaga is a dynamic, socio-cultural youth group situated in Silchar, Assam. Our main goal is to give young people a place to participate in worthwhile activities and advance societal progress. Driven by the values of empathy and volunteerism, Dhaga has been actively engaged in a number of fields, such as education, health, disaster relief, and cultural enhancement.
Since its establishment, Dhaga has arranged a number of free medical camps, giving impoverished communities access to critical medical treatment. Additionally, we have spearheaded initiatives to provide help and supplies during floods and other catastrophes. Through our health and hygiene efforts and menstrual awareness campaigns, we ensure that women have access to the essential knowledge and resources, demonstrating our dedication to women's empowerment and health.
Dhaga often delivers meals to the impoverished as part of our efforts to end hunger and help those in need. In order to support young people in reaching their professional goals and help them reach their full potential, we also provide career counselling sessions.
Dhaga is well-known for its two main charitable fundraisers, which have grown to be important occasions for the community. The first is INVIERNO, a three-day interschool fest in which more than 3,000 students take part every year. This event encourages healthy competition among the kids while also promoting cultural interchange and personal growth. RAAS DANDIYA, the second fundraiser, draws people from all across the valley to celebrate Navaratri in harmony and joy as a community.
Dhaga keeps changing society for the better with the help of partners and funders. Our programs aim to improve the lives of those who are least fortunate of the community and guarantee a better, more prosperous future for everyone. We hope to uplift and empower people via our programs, encouraging a sense of unity among all people and all-around growth.
